Atlantis Tye Browder was born in Cheverly, Maryland and resides in suburban Washington, DC. She is a graduate of Archbishop Carroll High School in the District of Columbia and Bowie University, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in History and Government.
Her hobbies and interests include reading, listening to music, teaching youth and adults, meeting new people, African and African American history, and spiritual development.
Atlantis also enjoys traveling. She has been to 25 states throughout the U.S., and has visited over 15 countries.
Atlantis is the co-author of three books, My First Trip to Africa, which was published in 1991 (when she was 8 years old), Africa On My Mind, which was published in 1995, and Reflections of My First Trip to Africa, which was published in 2020. Her books are currently used in classrooms in the U.S. and around the world.
